Day 1: Saturday, Nov. 27 – Welcome
- Download WhatsApp (you'll use this daily).
- When you arrive an Adventure Hunt or Red Frog Beach Resort rep will be there to greet you and take you to the resort
- Check-in
- At reception, please have your passport and credit card ready to have on file. They'll assign your villa, give you the reception's WhatsApp number (you'll use this to schedule spa services, rental equipment, etc.), you'll receive a map of the resort, and they'll answer any questions you have.

Day 2: Sunday, Nov. 28 – Coral Key Snorkeling + Dolphin Bay Excursion
- Breakfast @ La Rosa Beach Club

- Omelet w/veggie, ham and cheese, toast, fruit
- Yogurt bowl with fruit and granola
- Panamanian Breakfast: hojaldre (fried bread dough), beef strips in sauce, fruit

- 10:00 AM Coral Key Snorkeling + Dolphin Bay Excursion (meet at Activity Dock at least 5 minutes before your excursion time).

Day  3: Monday, Nov. 29 – Zip-line or Monkey Island Excursion

*Water is of course included with every meal, as well as the juices mentioned above for breakfasts, all other drinks (soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, etc.) can be purchased on location during meal. Lunch is on your own each day and is not included as part of the trip. Vegetarian or Vegan options available upon request.

 

 

Packing List

Pack light! We've done multiple 14-day trips here with just one carry-on. You can do it. We challenge each of you to pack just one carry-on!
  • 2 swimsuits
  • Clothes for each day (as a guy, I usually take a few t-shirts, a couple pairs of shorts, 1 pair of pants, 1 long sleeve shirt/hoodie, a few underwear–washer & dryer in each villa)
  • Sandals
  • Hike/water shoes (Chacos, Tevas, etc.)
  • Regular shoes
  • A hat of some sort for extra sun protection
  • Travel size toiletries
  • Travel size sunscreen
  • Travel size insect repellent
  • Travel size hand sanitizer
  • Sunglasses
  • Phone, laptop, chargers (regular plugs)
  • Passport
  • Wallet
  • Face mask
  • Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination. As of Sept. 1, 2021 the USA was put on the high danger list by the Panama gov't, so to avoid a mandatory 72-hr quarantine, you need to show proof that you've been fully vaccinated for at least 14 days before arrival.
  • Negative Covid-19 test results (PCR or Antigen), administered no more than 48 hrs before your arrival in Panama. You can also take a test upon arrival at the PTY airport for $50. We strongly suggest getting a rapid test from Walgreen's (generally free) the day before you leave. Detailed info here & here.
    • A similar test is needed to return to the US. For this, we suggest purchasing an approved self-administered test before you leave the US. Take it with you and follow the instructions from your approved test provider. Here are some we have found:
    • Option 2: contact Mr. Mike Kelly via email (mkelly@expathealthservices.com) or WhatsApp @ +507.6614.1448 to schedule a test at his lab near the Albrook Airport (PAC) upon arrival back in Panama City. Cost is $35 with results ready in about an hour. Give yourself an extra few hours between landing at PAC and taking off back to US from PTY. Or if you're pressed for time, give yourself an extra 90 mins (beyond standard needed time to transfer airports, checkin, etc.) to be tested at the PTY airport before departure. Please note that if you test positive at the PTY airport, you will be forced to stay in Panama City in quarantine for 14 days. Testing with Mr. Kelly will allow you to retest or reassess your situation should you test positive.
  • Travel Insurance (recommended, especially with Covid issues still lingering, no refunds will be issued if you happen to test positive or something as we can't control that)
  • About $200 USD cash in 20s, 10s and 5s (they use USD in Bocas and throughout Panama). This will be used for lunches and tipping locals. Garret and Adventure Hunt do not accept tips, but ask that if you appreciate a service, please tip the local Panamanian guide or service provider. 
  • Snorkel gear if you have it (we'll rent some down there too, so not necessary, but nice if you have your own and have room for it)
